What was the highlight of Verbena Hotel
Overall, good for the price :)
-It is just a walking distance to the place of my seminar and other establishments. - Free breakfast was simple and good. - The staff are nice except for the one assigned at the counter the night of my check-in who seem to lack empathy.
- I came in late but the exact room I reserved was not yet available for occupancy. I was told I would be transferred to another room in the morning. It was very inconvenient for me for I want my things to be in order at least a night before I attend to my out-of-town events. I was told that my things have to be packed-up for them to transfer to another room for I would have a day-long seminar the next day.... But, I went back to the same room. No transfer done. - No one received my call for my concerns. - I have to go down to ask for tissue. No daily refills done. - No door sign provided for "make up my room". - Complimentary water in dispenser was located at the lobby of the other side which required me to pull-out every time the solitary key card provided, lock the room for safety, go down and up two sets of stairs... At least a pitcher could have been provided. - The blanket is very thin; the thicker one on top is very short and tightly tucked to the bed. The pillowcase smells dirty.

Our stay was lovely, staff friendly. room clean, breakfast good. Lacking is a rug for the toilet.
Im not a picky person when it comes to breakfast, so for me breakfast is good. Think what is lacking is some butter or jam for the toast bread. If theres one i did not see one.

Staff were friendly, especially the Kitchen staff who...
Staff were friendly, especially the Kitchen staff who allowed me to join breakfast an hour late.
Don't get a street side room, very noisy and not dark. Also, the shower temperature and pressure was marginal at best.

Staff fine hotel not good
The second night in the suite was ok and was Made available by the off duty management
The first night experience was not good .... I complained and refused to pay internet not working hot water in shower not available , no kettle in room , no light switches at bedside, place filthy unclean.
